Nerve Irritation
If you have back stiffness or pain, neck pain or maybe leg or hip discomfort, the issue could be originating from nerve irritation. Often times, people mistakingly blame muscles for discomfort or numbness in a limb when in fact the issues results from a nerve. Unless the nerve is treated by someone, like a chiropractor, the symptoms will persist as treating only the muscle is treating a spinoff of the nerve irritation in relation to a misalignment or injury of the spine. Medicine will not help the nerve impairment, it can mask it temporarily but cannot fix it. The main signs of nerve irritation are discomfort, insensibility, tingling and numbness.
Please call our office today and let Dr. Combs relieve any nerve impairment and irritation so that you can get back to living your life to the fullest!

stress
Stress is listed by the American Medical Association as the leading basic cause of more than 60% of all illness and disease. It is known to be the cause of many illnesses and symptoms ranging from high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, anxiety, ADD or ADHD, digestive problems like Chron’s, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and acid reflux, immune deficiency, allergies, headaches, musculoskeletal disorders, fibromyalgia, weight gain, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, breathing problems and much more.
Stress can also lead to many addictions like smoking and alcohol and even lead to suicide.
Many people reach for different medications to fight many of these conditions and symptoms that result from stress. Unfortunately most don’t realize the drugs are just covering up the symptoms and resulting in other symptoms due to side effects. This is a vicious cycle currently used by most medical doctors in treating their patients.
Chiropractor takes a natural approach to treating the physical symptoms of stress.

Consumer Reports Finds Chiropractic Top Notch
A fairly recent study (2011) in Consumer Reports shows that Chiropractors had the highest level of satisfaction form patients compared to any other type of health care provider. Yes, you heard me right.. Chiropractic had the best results!!!
In this study, Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center conducted a survey of over 14, 000 people who had received different types of treatment for their back pain. 59% of these back pain sufferers said the were “highly satisfied” with their chiropractors, while only 34% said they were highly satisfied with their primary care physician.
Consumer Reports also conducted a separate survey of back pain patients that underwent spinal surgery. The results were quite mixed. More than 50% of the patients surveyed reported complications with their recovery. These ranged from more severe pain too a much longer than expected healing process. Twenty percent of these patients said they had no relief or even became worse. These are staggeringly high results of people that were not satisfied with their back surgery. Now, unless I am mistaken, there is no way to undo a botched spinal surgery, is there!? Why not try Chiropractic first?! Its safer, has better results and is WAYYYYYY less expensive, I assure you.
Consumer Reports suggested that whenever a person is advised to have back surgery, they should have a second or even third opinion by a physician that is not a surgeon. One of these should be by a Doctor of Chiropractic.
A Doctor of Chiropractic will exam a patient and review all their previous medical records and diagnostic testing and make treatment recommendations.
